My Journeys: The One Who Was Alright

I went out on a date last night. He said all the right things, kept saying I was beautiful (almost annoying), rode a motorcycle, was in my age group…But still I woke up this morning and decided I wasn’t interested.

He said he was amazed I found him on LinkedIn. This is after he gave me his full name and told me to search for him on facebook. Well I didn’t stop there, as I do, I googled him to see what I could find. Dude, you’re an IT Engineer, you type in a name and hit enter BOOM you popped up. That’s how I found you on LinkedIn. He took me to the Brick Store Pub and we stole glasses together. He walked me to my car and when I asked what he drove he told me a Mazda3 and that he didn't like it. He compared them to Hondas (I hate Hondas). When we arrived at my car and he saw I drove a Mazda3 he said that was awesome, mine was different and better than his. He wanted a fist pump. His is a 2010 mine is a 2007. We talked a little bit about the Troy Davis case. I was against the death, he was for it. I said he’s not hurting anyone in jail, he proved me wrong by tallying up how much we as tax payers are spending just to house him a year. It was a mature debate. He wants to have kids, me I gave up on that. Not to say if I was married I wouldn’t have one, but I wouldn’t try for one.

I think I’m holding out for that just right guy not the just alright guy. On the way to work this morning I saw a rainbow. In the middle of a trafficy highway and nasty wet roads, there was this beautiful rainbow. So, I know there’s a brighter date out there.

To my readers, I’ve been forced to make my blog private. That means you can only read it if you’re a follower. It was brought to my attention that OKC’ers google me and it comes up. I just don’t want someone finding it and reading about themselves. Then I’d feel bad.
