Oakland Cemetery Fest

In great Halloween fashions my Auntie, sissy and I decided to visit the Oakland Cemetery Festival. They do all kinds of tours (Halloween tour is $20!) and I am pretty amazed at how beautiful this place is and why haven’t we been here before?…

After a grueling 30-minute tour all around the cemetery JUST to see Margaret Mitchell’s resting place we started walking around on our own. This place is HUGE. Visited a couple more “famous” graves, saw some antique cars (oh how I wish we still had one) and Tracy, who thought the graves weren't big enough, laid down on one to see if they were. Of course it was plenty big and talk about disrespecting a grave. Shame on her.

Time was growing on us and we were walking past an old fashion picture booth. You know those old fashion picture places where they dress you up in costume? Well my Auntie was all, “Lets do this” and we’re all like “ok lets”, but of course my aunt chose to leave us to do it while she “held onto our stuff”. Well-played Auntie…well played.

As you can see the pictures did come out pretty cute and it was quite funny, the whole experience. Tracy’s dress fit perfectly where as mine wouldn't even zip up, yet it was very slimming on me. Flattering if I do say so myself. People kept coming up to us asking if they could take our picture and saying how cute we were. Um duh!
