A co-worker
took me out to lunch last Friday to “thank” me for all the hard work I do…Actually
she wanted to take me out for having me do a job that we technically don’t do
anymore that is a pain.in.the.ass. Nevertheless, it is my job, but I obliged to
the luncheon and was allowed to bring a friend (co-worker).
We ate at
Rumi’s Kitchen a Persian cuisine. We were supposed to go to Double Zero (I
wanted the pizza), but they were closed for lunch (LAME). This is important for
my co-worker was having a surprise shipped to Double Zero, but she didn't make the reservation till the day of and then realized they were closed so
had to have my “surprise” re directed. The surprise was quite one in fact! She’d
had my friend (co-worker) ask me my favorite cake, I said ice cream or cookie,
my favorite color, it’s BLUE or RED and my favorite Disney character (???) it’s
Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. Shit you could even get away with Ariel (even
though I've realized recently she’s a spoiled selfish batch). My surprise came
out at desert. It was a large cookie concoction with Aurora painted on the center cookie. Lovely for a 5 year old, thoughtful and funny for a 31 year old.
It is the thought that counts and it was very sweet.
Anyways, as
I do I was very overwhelmed and taking pictures all over the place. Every dish,
every plate (I loved the plates I want them for my home) and ourselves. I’m new
to Foursquare so after checking in I also posted a couple pics to their page. The
manager and wait staff were very friendly, talking to us and making sure our
experience was up to par (it was). They asked if they could take a picture of
us to post to their facebook wall to which we were very eager to pose. They got
our names and said they’d tag us when they post it.
I decided
this morning to check in on Rumi’s Kitchen on facebook. After scrolling down a
bit I noticed one of my pictures, used to describe their Pistachio Baklava desert. I recognized it right away, because my angles
are recognizable and the border around the picture is from my favorite app
(hipstimatic disposable, no longer available). I went ahead and “liked” the
page and commented on the picture telling them we had a great time and thanks
for sharing my picture. As well, I shared the link to my facebook page J It feels good to have something
like that posted.

Nicely done, lady.
