To My Friends, In Remembrance

The Savage House, where we use to do what high school kids do (make your own assumptions) is no longer our home. Where once the “Shit Room” sat, will belong to a GATOR fan! My parents have shuffled off across the street to a "fancier" home. We’ve all shared lots of memories and good times in that house.

My Elementary friends, Sunny, Alex, Sam, Vicky (Victoria), Sarah...I have very fond memories of all of you. The mail truck that my dad bought that we use to play in. The kudzu that doubled as not only a short cut to get to friends houses, but also a playground. We actually made it into a "house". Are You Afraid of the Dark, Tales from the Crypt, walking to Mom’s and Pap’s or the pool, sleep overs. My beffy Lars coming over and taking “modeling” pictures or to watch a movie on the living room floor. My dad’s file cabinet and videos (this could actually go to both my elementary friends and high school friends. We was bad).

From the shit room, where the “Is Not Allowed” list (changed frequently and was never paid attention to) use to hang, where Bradley threw up in the garbage can, where we witnessed unnamed sources getting it on, where Niesse passed out and got a face full of make up on video tape then just about kicked every one's ass! All the furniture we ruined! The kitties, the beer bottles, the liquor bottles, thrown into the kudzu, and putting in N’SYNC to cheer up a girlfriend after a break up. “It’s tearing up my heart when I’m with you, and when we are apart I feel it too…” Melissa giggling till she cried, and, myself, Tracy, Mike, Ed Willis and Robert making a hair commercial for school. Scotti, becoming Roxy Bam Bam and Mary inventing the Happy Meal diet.

Even before the shit room we use to hang out in the garage or at the park across the street. My mom frying up some chicken in the fry daddy for us. Richard, spending an entire night with my 4-year-old niece, while Court claimed to be her favorite. Drunk Ass waking up my dad to get a drink. Someone seeing my dad naked and my guy friends hoping to see my mom naked!

My Cavie of Pleasure, Tracy’s Escort, Julia’s Dirty Bird, Scotti’s Camry, Kristina’s Wagoner, Robert’s Honda (with the auburn tag tisk tisk), Patrick’s jeep, Lee’s Buick, and Bradley’s bronco all use to fill up the drive way every weekend (or week night). Sometimes even the Shaggin Waggin would make an appearance.

It wasn't long before we had the baby bro's friends hangin around trying to be part of the action! Thank god he learned from our mistakes. I truly believe what he witnessed back in those days contributed to his NO drinking policy.

Those times have been long gone and made into distant memories. It’s weird that this won't be our house anymore. The shit room was torn down way before they moved. It served no purpose after we bloody teenagers moved out. But I can still see it. I see my friends, hear the laughter and even the fights. Good or bad, all those memories are dear to me. They always will be. Let us never forget the memory of friends we've lost. That partook in many of these instances. Thank god for all the good times, great moments, and learning we all got out of the garage/shit room.

Simply Savage bitches!

Man Rules vs. ME

Men: Women...These are our rules!..ADHERE TO THEM!!
And, my Answers follow...

1) Rule: Men are NOT mind readers.

Answer: If we told you what we really thought, it would hurt your feelings.

2) Rule: "Yes" and "No" are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.

Answer: If we answered with more than a "yes" or "no" you'd ask what our problem was.

3) Rule: If you think you're fat, you probably are. Don't ask us.

Answer: We ask if we look fat for a compliment, usually because men are too stupid to realize what they've got and they're eyes are always looking at the whore waitresses at the bar/restaurant. Is it so bad that we want a little reassurance? God knows you want us to always tell you how big your dick is! Please! If you have to ask it's probably small...right? Same thing as asking if we look fat. Stop asking!

4) Rule: Whenever possible, please say whatever you have to say during commercials.

Answer: You want me to hold my thoughts till a commercial? It's 2010 guys, if you miss it, you can rewind it. Get over it! It's just TV. The TV isn't going to have sex with you. Unless you count jacking off during showtime's skinamax.

5) Rule: You can either ask us to do something or tell us how you want it done. Not both. If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.

Answer: Chances are if we don't ask you to do it, you being a "man", you're gonna get all sensitive as to why we didn't ask you to do it.

6) Rule: Ask for what you want. Let us be clear on this one:

Subtle hints do not work!
Strong hints do not work!
Obvious hints do not work!
Just say it woman!!!
Answer: Wasn't this covered in number 1? Stop repeating yourself! You just want to write out stupid rules!

7) Rule: Learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down. We need it up, you need it down. You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down.

Answer: Is it hard to put the toilet seat down? Is that why this is such an issue for you "men"? Do you know how disgusting it is to flush a toilet and let the insides of it spray out of the toilet onto the floor and your toothbrush? Hello numb nuts, not only are we concerned about falling in, we're concerned with our health and fecal matter!

8) Rule: Shopping is NOT a sport. And no, we are never going to think of it that way.

Answer: You get in our way anyways! We only ask you to come along because we're only allowed to "talk during commercials".

9) Rule: Crying is blackmail.

Answer: Crying is not blackmail when you're being a DICK! Stop being a DICK and we'll stop crying...DICK!

10) Rule: Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it. That's what we do. Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.

Answer: We don't come to you with our problems for solving or sympathy. Chances are you asked what was wrong, and we told you! You know because you said to tell you what was on our minds! You can't read our minds remember. Shut up and listen!

11) Rule: A headache that lasts for 17 months is a problem. See a doctor baby.

Answer: We have a headache for 17 months because we don't want to have sex with you! You should see a doctor!

12) Rule: Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument. In fact, all comments become null and void after 7 Days.

Answer: The only reason you want any and all comments to null and void after 7 days is because you're constantly saying stupid shit. Stop saying stupid shit that we won't forget.

13) Rule: If something we said can be interpreted two ways and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the other one.

Answer: We can't read your mind. If you're saying something that can make us sad, just don't say it at all. That is if you want me not to have a headache for 17 months.

14) Rule: ALL men see in only 16 colours, like Windows default settings. Peach, for example, is a fruit, not a colour. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have no idea what mauve is.

Answer: I don't know what mauve is either...

15) Rule: If it itches, it WILL be scratched. We do that.

Answer: Scratch all you want, but eventually it's playing with yourself and not scratching.

16) Rule: If we ask what is wrong and you say "nothing," we will act like nothing's wrong. We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle.

Answer: If it's not worth the hassle just don't ask.

17) Rule: If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, expect an answer you don't want to hear.

Answer: I actually totally agree with this one.

18) Rule: When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine...honest baby.

Answer: Stop calling me baby! We ask, again, because we'd rather you look at us instead of the whore waitresses. Why do we even bother? You're going to anyways because you're a PRICK!

19) Rule: Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics as footy, cars, or the female nipple.

Answer: You have just proved to me that you only think about woman's body parts (which in turns to sex) or cars. We were right.

20) Rule: You have enough clothes.

Answer: You don't have enough boxers or soap.

21) Rule: You have too many shoes.

Answer: Don't worry about my shoes, worry about your socks.

22) Rule: I am in shape......”Round” IS a shape!!

Answer: You want us to not nag you about being "round" when you are constantly looking at a thinner younger model...Please!

23) Rule: MAKE ME A GOD DAMN SANDWHICH! But what we really mean is, hey hunny, could you please make me a sandwhich? you mean the world to me.

Answer: If you want me to make you a sandwich say it the way it was "meant".

24) Rule: Thank you for reading this. (Yes hunny, I know...I have to sleep on the couch tonight)

...But did you know men really don't actually mind that? It's like camping.

Answer: Go camping then!

Spread the word......

I.O.Z

A friend of mine is in a band called I.O.Z. For all accounts my friends is an amazing guitarist and writer. This is a true story. I'm not bias.

I had a chance to make it out to see I.O.Z at Smith's Old Bar for the first time on the 12th. Before hand a mutual friend told me that their sound was an "acquired taste". I am in totally disagreement! For one, I've been going to his show sense I was in high school. Mostly just jam band stuff in his group Ludowici. To me that's an aquired taste. You either do or you don't like jam band type music. I liked Ludowici and enjoyed their show, but myself, I'm not much of a jam band type gal. Mostly I was there for my friends, you know support.

I.O.Z was amazing! The sound was great, the presence they all brought was great, set up...It was really a great show that I believe everyone enjoyed. Again I'm not being bias, I truly believe it was good music.

Next on my agenda is going to the CD release party, which is this Saturday. I'm so excited! Can't wait to get a copy of this CD and put it in the dock of my car. If you haven't already, check them out.

Good day!

Disgusting!

When I thought I couldn't dislike either one of these two celebrities more, I see a picture of them hugging! So not only is tommy boy cruise a scientologist he likes women beaters too! And I think we all need to be singing, "pants on the ground" to chrissy "I'z beat my women" brown here! Pull up your pants!

Valentine's Day

So, for Valentine's Day (day before Valentine's Day) us girls went out! We started off at PF Chang's. Dinner was awesome! We didn't have to wait long because I made reservations. I had an Asian Pear Mojito, and let me tell you, it was the BEST mojito I had ever had. After that we headed on over to Virginia Highlands. Our first bar stop was Neighbors. It was really nice. Still early so there wasn't much of a crowd, which was actually kind of nice. We got into the photo booth quite a few times...A-ma-zing!

Some may say this was the highlight of the evening. We were all tired. BUT we stuck through it. Gosh we are getting old. It's sadder than sad shit. There was a couch infront of a fire, which I liked very much. We all put our feet up. It was a cold weekend dangit. One can only expect, it being February.

Next stop Hand n' Hand. This place was packed! However, our waitress (I'm so sorry by the way for telling my sister to only tip you 5 bucks not knowing you were behind me. Damn those shots were like $10 a piece!) got to us as soon as we walked in the door. She was quick and friendly'ish. We actually found quite a good spot to stand. Right next to the restrooms (this is good and bad. Bad: the girls room stank. Good: all the cute guys had to walk by at some point). It also had a bar so we could sit our things and drinks. Ran into a couple old friends as well so that was nice.

Finally we headed over to The Dark Horse. Running into an old neighbor at Neighbors (no pun intended, but hey it works), he told us to at least stop by if our intention was to meet guys. Again, this place was packed! Even more so than Hand n' Hand. You could barely even walk. Still, we got lucky enough to get a spot right smack at the bar with two seats. We are the shit! I'm not really into crowded spaces anymore, but this was fun. I hope to do it again sometime soon.

Ashford Park Elementary Reunion

As of lately I've been finding a lot of old friends from Elementary school, thanks to Facebook. It was really nice being able to see them and talk to them via the web. I hadn't seen or spoken to most of them since 6th grade.

Thanks to one very determined school mate we got together and organized a Reunion. The plan was to go to Cheese Cake Factory in Perimeter. However, they were way to packed to get together a party of our size (20 people). So, we went over to the Applebee's instead.
The night started off great. Talking and reminiscing with old friends. Lots of laughs and jokes. It was really great seeing all of these people again. My bestie Laura put together a photo album from Elementary school, and my sister just happened to find our old graduation photo along with the photo we took from a Patrol trip to DC. These pictures were a hit and pricelees.

After all the stupid elementary school drama we were all friends now. It was a good night! Good to see old friends and catch up. And I could definitely get behind doing something like that again.
