Out with the Old in with the New

So...apparently they've gone and changed our childhood Jem! Taking her from sluts and glam to sleek and modern. I for one am outraged. Why take a good thing and change her? What kind of message is that sending our youths? Alls I gotta say is bitch better still have the light up earrings (by the looks of it she don't).

No really I guess this is a good thing. We've all evolved why shouldn't Jem do the same. Move with the times if you will. Jem’s come a long way from my grandparent’s playroom where she met her demise against my sissy’s head.

I’m more mad that when I Google “Jem” all the new 2012 dolls come up and not the vintage Jem we all grew up with. How am I supposed to avenge her death and have my sissy’s head forgive me now? Not to mention she’s being sold for well over $200! Bitch is too expensive. I don’t think so Jem. I don’t think so.

Secret Secrets Are No Fun Unless You Text Everyone

Copyrighted! At CafĂ© Amelie with my father and sissy, while in NOLA, we were seated next to a family with 4 kids. This may not bother some, but to me this is usually a bad sign. It wasn’t just that they had 4 kids, we quickly found out being seated next to them would be a trip in it’s self. They had two crying kids, one run around the table kid and just a lonely behaved kid. As well they were French, speaking in their native tongue, and had an obvious Nanny with them. I won’t go into great detail how obvious it was, but lets just say she had NO family features what so ever. I guess they can’t handle their kids so they pay someone to do it for them. I will never understand this ritual. They literally watched as their kids misbehaved and cried. The Nanny herself looked worn out and hungry as the parents looked fresh and clean. A bit on the hippie side, but clean and fresh nonetheless.

My father and sissy were whispering with each other leaving me OUT! I knew whom they were talking about, but they were totes leaving me out! In response I said to them, “secret secrets are no fun unless you text everyone”. Funny right? My father bless his old heart doesn’t know how to GROUP TEXT! With a quick lesson from the youtes he was on his way and for the next 10 minutes we were texting each other (at our small table) about the events unfolding near us.
