Last year I read a book about a man who left Scientology. I've been against Scientology since I figured out what it was. I get on these kicks where I'll read something about it then I just can't stop. I get obsessed with it. So, my bestie sent me a text last night with a picture of a book called "Inside Scientology". She was asking if I'd read it. I haven't, but it's now in my wish list. Per researching the book I came across an interview with the author. She says something in her interview that I actually thought while reading "Blown for Good". In my own words: The "religion" itself was based on very good ideas, but Dave Miscavige has taken it to a new level. A level I can't get behind. In the author's words: Scientology will never evolve, they stay the same. So things won't get better.
I can understand the appeal the "church" has. Life betterment. My grandmother's father was into Dianetics. It's not the idea that I am against, it's the treatment and the thought process of these "followers". If you tell me that you are the only person who can help if you drive by an accident on the road (because you're a scientologist) I think you're not only an idiot but an asshole. I'm quite sure Paramedics can beg to differ. Forced abortions, hard labor, little to no pay for a 16+ hour work day...The negative treatment is endless. This is not an "idea" or a "religion". This is abuse and a very sad excuse for "religion". Let us not forget where all of this comes from...Xenu. An alien came down to earth (Teegeeack) blew it up and next thing you know we're known as thetans (with negative thoughts in our heads). Is it just me or does it sound like L. Ron was high when he wrote this?
Just another reason why I hate today's celebrities. Society gives them no sense of self and no consequences. I think they are easily influenced and drawn to Scientology for that very reason. I can't help but think these people are total idiots. It's really hard for me to sit down and watch a movie or a tv show with a scientologist in it.
In conclusion that Dave Miscavige probably has the worst case of "little man complex" I have ever heard of. Not to mention he is drunk off power. Some of these people don't have a choice, but some do. Educate yourself people!
