Psychosomatic…Called It

Leaving the restroom earlier today I passed by the Men’s room and heard Mr. Coughy in there and it sounded AWFUL! So bad I actually said out loud, “Oh my God”. So, as you do, I sent him an email.

Short, simple and sweet, I sent, “Hey MR. COUCHY, are you feeling ok? I've noticed you've been coughing a lot…” To which he replied with this, “TB.  Kidding. I think my throat is just dry...it seems kind of humid in here...or is that just me? At my age, it's probably just me!!! Thanks for asking...that's sweet of you!” I reply to him saying it sounds serious so I was just checking and he says, “Knowing me, it is probably just psychosomatic! If you happen to walk past my office and I'm slumped over my desk or sprawled out on the floor...it's just me being a drama queen. Pay no attention...it will just encourage me.”

It’s not humid in here and if you’re throat is dry get some f’ing water! It’s FREE and in the kitchen steps away from you. And you’re saying that it's all probably mental? It’s hard to “pay no attention” PLEASE.STOP. I wouldn't have said anything at all, but it’s just every few seconds (literally) he’s coughing LOUD coughs. It really sounds like it could be something serious.

Road Rage in my Old Age

I’m becoming more and more annoyed with Atlanta drivers. I typically get in the FAST lane on the high way and I’m usually stuck behind some slow driver, gearing me to have to get over and pass them.

I don’t know maybe I’m becoming this old grumpy woman. Like my neighbor who was constantly telling us to keep the noise down, or to pick up our trash cans, and I’d be all like mind your own business lady.

I find myself constantly annoyed with people these days. Whether it is in traffic, dumb asses on their cell phones in the FAST lane driving slow! Or my kickball team that’s mostly kids in their 20’s and their very behavior annoys me so much I want to punch my ears and eyes out. When a teammate makes a comment that the Duggers are awful people and I’m thinking, “you’re an awful person” it’s probably time to move on. Not for saying that, but it’s just my opinion that you suck as a person. Even at work I find myself making my days so stressful I can feel it in my entire body just because someone forgets to put a phone number on a quote sheet. This is just ONE of the many issues I deal with on a daily basis with these reps. I’m sick of having to do things for them. Yeah it’s little on the scale of life, but it doesn't make my job any easier, especially with a computer that doesn't want to react to my demands.

I have all these internal outrages and I’m scared one day I’m just going to pop! Not really ;) Such is life.

Number ONE Reason I Hate Facebook

I realize that mark zuckleburger (or whatever) is making a shit ton of money off facebook, but at the price of it’s user’s privacy…I just don’t think that’s fair. As an adult I can choose my privacy settings and KNOW, with great certainty, what I am and am not putting out there for the WORLD to see. But for a child who has absolutely NO idea what he or she is getting into…it’s scary.

I remember a time when you had to be a certain age to join. Not only that, you had to be in college. It was a college network. Now before fb there was Myspace, but still you had to be at least 18 or older. I think even 18 at this point is too young to post your life online, but at least it was there. Protecting us. Now you can be ANY age! Some are not mature enough to decide for themselves what is or is not appropriate for social sites. I know for myself I didn’t realize what I was doing until I was 25 and I had to learn the hard way.

Fb does gives us the option to make our pages private, but for a teen that thinks they’re the shit doesn’t want anything and everything they do every second of every waking minute to be private. Could there at least be a MANDITORY private setting for teens? In a perfect world these teens would have parents who actual PARENT their children. Maybe most do, but I know some that don’t. If it were me I would be taking my child’s computer and cell phone, or ipod or whatever, away every night at 9:00. I swear having a 16-year-old niece has scared me away from ever wanting kids.

If our parents don’t protect us then who will? It’s certainly not the moneymakers behind such sites like facebook. They don’t care. And they shouldn’t have to.

P.S. Hey facebook, is there a way you can BLOCK friend requests? Some crazy bia keeps requesting me after I ignore her! I mean I know I'm awesome, but no one should be that eager to be my friend...

Today Is Not the Day

Let me start out by saying I am probably the MOST inpatient person I know. That being said I hate when people don’t text me back. I mean I understand a couple minutes, but hours…Come.On. If you’re playing games that sucks! I hate games (unless I’m the one playing them, then that’s ok) mkay? (I guess my dad was right, I am high maintenance).

Just about everyone is getting on my nerves this morning. Yesterday a friend said that I must be about to start or something because I was being bitchy. I like to think of it as being 100 but she calls em like she see’s em and I guess she’s just being 100. Fast forward to this morning, I don’t even get a change to sit down before a co-worker (who’s been here for at least 30 minutes) hands me a post it and says, “This lady wants you to call her”. I call her and guess what…She spoke to my co-worker this morning and all she wants is to have someone walk her through the order process. ONE, my co-worker could of done that. Two, As if I have time for this shit! Asking questions like, “what does shipping address mean”, well I can only assume it means to fill out your shipping address, but I’m just guessing…I’m a “team player” though and held her hand through the entire process that ran over 9 minutes. Three, It’s really not that hard people.

Not an hour goes by before the same co-workers sends me an email saying a couple people’s birthdays are coming up, “should we plan something”? I say sure why not to which she replies, “can you plan it I’m too busy right now”…Well then why did you even say anything? I’m not like swamped but I’m busy enough ok!

The phone is in full force today! When you’re breaking up and I ask you to please repeat yourself don’t act like I’m slow. That is just so rude and disrespectful and it doesn’t set a good tone for the rest of the call. Just sayin. And “you’ve got the wrong number” does NOT mean I want to hear the number you dialed and who you’re trying to reach.
